 SIST dates will be posted on our website as soon as possible. \n\nASIST i
 s a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. ASIST teaches parti
 cipants to recognize\nwhen someone may be at risk of suicide and work with
  them to create a plan that will support their\nimmediate safety. Although
  ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, participants don’t need\
 nany formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be learned and use
 d by anyone aged 16+.\n\nIn the course of the two-day workshop\, ASIST par
 ticipants learn to:\n\n 	Understand the ways personal and societal attitud
 es affect views on suicide and interventions\n 	Provide guidance and suici
 de first-aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their individual safety
  needs\n 	Identify the key elements of an effective suicide safety plan an
 d the actions required to implement it\n 	Appreciate the value of improvin
 g and integrating suicide prevention resources in the community at large\n
  	Recognize other important aspects of suicide prevention including life-p
