 (101-612 View St)\n$325 per participant\n\n**Please note that this worksho
 p is two full days. You must attend both days to receive your certificatio
 n.\n\n\n\nASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. AS
 IST teaches participants to recognize\nwhen someone may be at risk of suic
 ide and work with them to create a plan that will support their\nimmediate
  safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, participa
 nts don’t need\nany formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can b
 e learned and used by anyone aged 16+.\n\nIn the course of the two-day wor
 kshop\, ASIST participants learn to:\n\n 	Understand the ways personal and
  societal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions\n 	Provide g
 uidance and suicide first-aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their 
 individual safety needs\n 	Identify the key elements of an effective suici
 de safety plan and the actions required to implement it\n 	Appreciate the 
 value of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the com
 munity at large\n 	Recognize other important aspects of suicide prevention
