 p is two full days. You must attend both days to receive your certificatio
 n.\n\n\n\nASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. AS
 IST teaches participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suici
 de and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate s
 afety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, participant
 s don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be l
 earned and used by anyone aged 16+.\n\nIn the course of the two-day worksh
 op\, ASIST participants learn to:\n\n 	Understand the ways personal and so
 cietal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions\n 	Provide guid
 ance and suicide first-aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their ind
 ividual safety needs\n 	Identify the key elements of an effective suicide 
 safety plan and the actions required to implement it\n 	Appreciate the val
 ue of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the commun
 ity at large\n 	Recognize other important aspects of suicide prevention in
