 101-612 View St)\n$325 per participant\n\n**Please note that this workshop
  is two full days. You must attend both days to receive your certification
 .\n\n\n\nASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. ASI
 ST teaches participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicid
 e and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate sa
 fety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, participants
  don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST can be le
 arned and used by anyone aged 16+.\n\nIn the course of the two-day worksho
 p\, ASIST participants learn to:\n\n 	Understand the ways personal and soc
 ietal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions\n 	Provide guida
 nce and suicide first-aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their indi
 vidual safety needs\n 	Identify the key elements of an effective suicide s
 afety plan and the actions required to implement it\n 	Appreciate the valu
 e of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the communi
 ty at large\n 	Recognize other important aspects of suicide prevention inc
