 orkshop is two full days. You must attend both days to receive your certif
 ication.\n\n\n\nASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-a
 id. ASIST teaches participants to recognize\nwhen someone may be at risk o
 f suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their\nimm
 ediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers\, par
 ticipants don’t need\nany formal training to attend the workshop—ASIST
  can be learned and used by anyone aged 16+.\n\nIn the course of the two-d
 ay workshop\, ASIST participants learn to:\n\n 	Understand the ways person
 al and societal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions\n 	Pro
 vide guidance and suicide first-aid to a person at risk in ways that meet 
 their individual safety needs\n 	Identify the key elements of an effective
  suicide safety plan and the actions required to implement it\n 	Appreciat
 e the value of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in t
 he community at large\n 	Recognize other important aspects of suicide prev
