Face 2 Face with Stigma – Workshop
December 9th 2022
11:00am – 1:00pm
345 Wale Rd, Colwood BC
FREE
Join us on December 9th from 11am-1pm as we learn more about mental health, substance use, and homelessness, and work towards breaking down the stigma that surrounds these topics in our society! This workshop is free and open to anyone.
Face 2 Face with Stigma is a workshop created and delivered by the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness. These workshops are inspired, led, developed, and delivered entirely by people with lived and living experiences of homelessness, substance use and mental health disorders. They share their powerful stories to create systemic change and reduce barriers by opening discussions about stigma with people living and working in our community, while providing stipend-paid opportunities for our passionate experiential storytellers. Face 2 Face with Stigma inspires empathy and compassion; educates; and reduces fear in the community.
Hosted in partnership with The Village Initiative, BGC South Vancouver Island and the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessness.
