Help us #GetLoud for everyone’s right to mental health
We all have mental health. We all have rights to healthcare, a decent standard of living and fair and equal treatment. Yet some people are not able to exercise their rights and their mental health needs are ignored. Too often people who seek support for a mental illness or substance use problem are turned away, refused help or treated badly. We can’t let this go on.
That’s why we need your help to #GetLoud for the changes we want to see in BC:
Care before crisis
No one should be turned away from receiving the care they need. Your support helps us advocate for a better system of care that helps people at every stage of mental wellness or illness.
Foundations for wellness
It’s about more than health care or even self-care. It’s about making sure people have what they need to be well—like reliable income and housing. With your support, we can speak up for these building blocks of health, and work with communities, workplaces and schools to build healthier, more inclusive environments.
Dignity always
Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity, compassion and respect, in care and in community. Together we can change the way we treat people, whether it’s when they need health care or housing.
Your support is especially important now. We need your help to put these ideas into action.
Programs like Bounce Back® and Confident Parents: Thriving Kids teach skills to support recovery from mental illness and improve mental health. Early intervention saves money and preserves families and communities.
